My story
For our honeymoon, we wanted to do something truly meaningful—a once-in-a-lifetime challenge that reflected our shared love of adventure and purpose. Running a marathon at altitude to raise funds for vital conservation efforts felt like the perfect fit.This cause is especially close to our hearts. Mike spent several months in Namibia conducting conservation research, working alongside local communities to help develop sustainable tourism models that support wildlife protection and create economic opportunities—rather than hunting. Seeing firsthand how conservation can positively impact both people and animals left a lasting impression on him. This marathon will be my 5th and Mike’s 4th, but without question it will be the most challenging—and the most rewarding—yet. Every donation helps support Tusk’s vital work protecting Africa’s wildlife and landscapes for generations to come. Thank you so much for being part of this journey with us.
